Monthly rundown and hello, March.

March 12, 2016 Monthly rundown. 0 Comments

Michigan is waking again this month.

And it feels good.

Welcome to the monthly rundown, and hello, March (a little late):

Alexander Lumber:

Our team is partnering again with our friends at 21 Handshake to provide content and design services to Alexander Lumber. This family-owned company has been around for 125 years. It has survived the Great Depression, two world wars, and a number of economic downturns (recessions, if you will). Gwen spent a full day in Chicagoland last week filming these folks. There’s a lot of trust and pride in that company and in those people, and we’re eager to help them share their stories over the next several weeks and months.

Inner City Christian Federation Gala 2016:

Inner City Christian Federation is celebrating the work they’ve done – and are doing – to provide affordable housing opportunities to individuals and families in the greater Grand Rapids area in three days. Their annual gala is at the JW Marriott on March 15, and our team is helping out (think signage and PowerPoints and programs and scripts). It’s intricate, detailed work, but it’s good work. It’s work we love. Why? Because ICCF has been building affordable homes and neighborhoods where justice and mercy prevail for more than 40 years, and they’re reweaving shalom into the fabric of our community. They’re making things better.

Friendship Ministries’ TOGETHER:

Our team has been working with Friendship Ministries for more than five years now. Their annual Thanksgiving Dinner is our most favorite event of all time in the history of ever. But later this year they’re launching something very special, and we’re excited to be part of it. TOGETHER is an innovative, inclusive Bible study that enables churches to better approach a more collaborative community where all can participate fully as part of the body of Christ. Disability awareness, advocacy, and inclusion begins with a respect for human equality, equity, and diversity. It ends with full, equal, and meaningful participation of both children and adults with disability in all spheres of society. Including the church. #makethingsbetter

Mel Trotter Ministries’ Season of Hope:

Mel Trotter Ministries hosted its first annual Season of Hope event last fall. Our team helped with event management and marketing. This year the event will be held in September. Bultema Group will assist with save-the-date cards, invitations, signage, and more. Looking forward to it. Especially since the design is a full-on, special watercolor crafted by one of our friends. Keep your eyes on our Facebook page for its big reveal.

And that’s a wrap on the monthly rundown.

The end.
